Hadhrat Hakim bin Hizam (Radhiyallaho anho) came
\nto the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) and begged him
\nfor help. He gave him something. Next time he came and
\nasked for something. The Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam)
\ngave him something this time also. When he came to
\nbeg the third time, the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam),
\nafter giving him something, said:
\n“Hakim! Money has a deceptive appearance. It appears
\nto be very sweet (but it is really not so). It is a blessing
\nwhen earned with contentment of heart, but there is no
\nsatisfaction in it when it is got with greed.”
\nHakim said: “0, Prophet of Allah, I will not bother anybody
\nafter this.”
\nHadhrat Abu Bakr (Radhiyallaho anho) in the time of
\nhis Khilafat offered to help Hakim from Baitul Mal, but he
\nrefused. Again Umar (Radhiyallaho anho) as Amir-ul-Mominin
\nrequested Hakim many times to accept something
\nfrom him, but he did not agree.
\nOur greed and avarice know no bounds; this is why we
